Our Services
Chiropractic
Chiropractic focuses on the restoration and maintenance of good spinal health. A healthy spine helps to enhance the function of the nervous system (brain, spinal cord, and associated nerves) which in turn leads to better health and well-being.
Chiropractic typically involves "spinal adjustments". These are safe and gentle corrective techniques aimed at improving spinal function. Many everyday activities can cause these spinal bones (vertebrae) to lose their normal position or motion. This may or may not cause pain, but will certainly result in decreased health.
Chiropractic aims at addressing pain and symptoms, and subsequently, it aims at maintaining a healthy spine as part of an overall approach to good health.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is a profession concerned with promoting health and well-being. Occupational Therapy helps to enable a person to participate in the activities of everyday life, for example a person's occupation.
Occupational Therapists working in the area of soft tissue rehabilitation, focus on improving the function of muscles, tendons, and ligaments. A variety of hands on techniques including myopractic and myofacial, are used to release muscle tightness, break up fibrous adhesions, and re-train the body to use their muscles correctly.
Personalised stretching and strengthening programs are incorporated to help restore optimal movement patterns. Lifestyle factors such as workplace set up and sleeping positions are also considered in order to identify and manage aggravating factors.
For both Chiropractic and Occupational Therapy, no medical referral is necessary. Rebates are claimable for all services from private health funds, depending on the insurer and individual’s level of cover. For accurate information on your cover, please call your health insurance fund.
